Art - Grades 7-12

About our Art Offerings for Grades 7-12

All Middle School students participate in art class and are given the opportunity to enhance their art skills.

7th grade students enjoy a quarter long art class, while 8th grade students have a semester long art class. Middle School art class is designed to help students develop their abilities in the areas of painting, sculpting, and drawing.

Multiple High School Art electives are available for students in 9th-12th grade. Electives are available in the following areas:

  • Sculpting
  • Ceramics
  • Drawing
  • Painting

Students who have a strong interest in art, and have taken the elective offerings, have the opportunity to further their skills by studying art independently.

In class, students are taught to use the proper materials and techniques that pertain to their discipline of study. All art students are encouraged to do their best and to use their talents to honor and glorify God with their artwork.

Art Club

In addition to our art class offerings, all students in 7th-12th grade have the opportunity to join our weekly Art Club.

Night of Fine Arts

Every spring students’ art work will be displayed in the Night of Fine Arts. The Night of Fine Arts provides students and their families with the opportunity to view the projects all our students have been working on throughout the year.

Select pieces will be chosen to move on to the ACSI Art Festival at Cedarville University. In addition, a few High School students will have the opportunity to submit their artwork in other contests such as the Emerging Artist Contest sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association.
